Financial AssistanceInsurance Coverage and Oxbryta


After reviewing your insurance coverage, GBT Source will discuss the financial assistance options for which you may be eligible.

You may be eligible for the GBT Source Commercial Copay Program, which may cover up to a maximum of $15,000 per calendar year for out-of-pocket expenses related to Oxbryta treatment.§

The following patient profiles are representative and based on GBT Source data (November 2019‑July 2020). You may have a different experience based on your insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Maya represents an eligible patient who is covered under her parents’ private insurance, with a copayof $80. Like 99% of privately insured patients who use the GBT Source Commercial Copay Program, her parents pay $0 for her Oxbryta treatment.

Uninsured

Joshua is an example of a patient who is uninsured. He applied to and was approved for the GBT Source Solutions Patient Assistance Program (PAP) for eligible, uninsured patients and receives his Oxbryta treatment for free.
